Certificate Course In Maritime Catering

The above program is approved by Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India. The design of the course is as per the guidelines laid down by the directorate, in the 6 Months training at Academy, approved by Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India. The candidate is familiarized with various aspects in Maritime Food & Beverage Services. He is also required to complete mandatory STCW courses.

On successful completion of the 6 months Pre-Sea Training, he undergoes the sea phase training of 12 months.

Eligibility:

Minimum 10th pass with at least 40% marks in Aggregate and at least 40% marks in English. He should be fluent in written and spoken English.

Age:

Not less than 17½ & Not exceeding 25 years as on the date of commencement of training.

Medical Fitness:

Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, without external aids. No colour blindness.

Selection Procedure:

NMS undertakes an Aptitude test followed by an Interview. The final selection will only take place after medical check - up through our panel Doctor, approved by D. G. Shipping Govt. of India.

10th/12th WITH 40% IN AGGREGATE & ENGLISH (Age Not less than 17½ & not exceeding 25 years.

MANDATORY STCW COURSES

AS GENERAL STEWARD OR ASST. COOK ON BOARD SHIP FOR 12 MONTH (SALARY U.S. $ 300-400)

ON BOARD SEA ASST. COOK / ASST. STEWARD AND AS PER EXPERIENCE CAN BE PROMOTED TO CHIEF COOK/CHIEF STEWARD (SALARY U.S. $ 2500-3500)
